Your wardrobe data

HANGER is a HUD that dresses you from your #RLV folders through a web screen. To do that, our server keeps a small amount of information about your wardrobe. This page says exactly what, why, and how to remove it.

What we store

To find covers, HANGER searches the public Second Life Marketplace for your product names; the Marketplace does not learn who you are. We do not read your inventory beyond the #RLV folder names, your chat, your IMs, your L$ balance or anything outside this HUD.

Why

Only to run the wardrobe: show your collection, dress you, remember your looks and settings across HUD copies, keep the service reliable, and count usage (for example how many people use it). Sponsored product cards in the collection are shown the same way to everyone; they are not chosen from your personal data.

Who can see it

You, on your HUD screen, and the HANGER team through a password-protected admin panel used to run and support the service. We never sell or share your data. Advertisers only see how many times their own ad was shown and clicked, never who saw it.

A look you share with SHARE LINK can be seen by anyone who has its link: the look's name and photo, and its pieces with their covers and brands - never your avatar name or anything else. STOP SHARING ends the link at once.

How long

As long as you use the wardrobe. Nightly backups are kept for 14 days on our server and up to 60 days on the owner's private computer. Deleted wardrobes wait 30 days (so an accidental deletion can be undone) and are then removed with their images.

Removing your data

On your HUD screen tap your profile picture (top right) and choose Delete my wardrobe data. Your wardrobe is removed at once and permanently erased after 30 days. If you wear the HUD again later, it starts a new, empty wardrobe. You can also contact the HANGER team in Second Life (IM thefrankcastle) to ask about or remove your data.

Advertisers

For sponsored ads we keep what you submit (avatar name, optional contact, product, brand, image, links), the kiosk payment record (payer, amount, time) and the ad's view and click counts.
